How to Pray Over Your Cross
The practice, in four steps
The cross is a reminder — the prayer is the point. Here's how wearers make it part of their walk:
- Hold it and pray. When it arrives, hold it in your hands and speak your need to God out loud — name the specific thing. “This is the confidence we have: if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” (1 John 5:14)
- Put it on. Let it rest against your skin as a reminder that you brought this to Him and don't have to carry it alone.
- Whisper the verse. Every time you feel it through the day, return to the promise instead of the worry. That's the whole habit — a dozen small returns a day.
- Watch, and give thanks. Keep a note of the small ways He shows up. Gratitude is how the habit takes root.
